The Department of Medicine at the Anschutz Medical Campus boasts top medical care for patients, as well as fellowships and endowments. The Grand Rounds Schedule includes all events for divisions under the department.

Geriatric faculty are members of the Center on Aging (COA) and have their university faculty appointments in the School of Medicine. The Division, in conjunction with the Denver Department of Veterans Affairs Geriatrics Section and the Colorado Geriatric Education Center (GEC) provides educational and interdisciplinary training opportunities to medical residents and geriatric fellows as well as medical, nursing, social work, law, pharmacy, dentistry, podiatry, and physical therapy students through monthly rotations.

The Division also plays a key role in the development of the primary care course curriculum. Faculty participate in three areas, as preceptors, small group facilitators and development of didactic course syllabi.
