We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow to work in the Schwartz/Yang Lab in the Pulmonary Division on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.
The research in the Schwartz/Yang Lab focuses on understanding the genetic and biological determinants of diseases that are influenced by the environment. This research focuses on genetic and epigenetic mechanisms that underlie the development of asthma, familial pulmonary fibrosis, and changes in innate immunity. State-of-the-art techniques, including next generation sequencing, genome-wide association studies (GWAS), and genome-wide epigenetic analysis in mice and human cohorts are used to accomplish these goals.
Laboratory based research focused on genetics and epigenetics of pulmonary fibrosis, asthma and innate immunity
Mentored research that will continue for at least two years
Interaction with other lab personnel both scientifically and programmatically
Applicants must have a PhD and scientific accomplishments in immunology, genetic engineering or genetic epidemiology. Interested candidates should submit their curriculum vitae and contact information for three references to Dr. Ivana Yang.
