The focus of the IDPT8007 Medicine-Pediatrics elective course is to help students discern whether to pursue combined residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. This course will expose students to possible career paths available for Med-Peds providers within primary and speciality care settings.
This clinical course is held at a variety of locations such as the University of Colorado Hospital, The
Children's Hospital of Colorado, Denver Health Medical Campus, National Jewish Hospital and the High Street Clinic. This elective meets Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm and is available during the months of May, June, July and August. Each 1/2 day session can vary between providers and locations. There will be additional time set aside within the week for independent learning.
This is a PASS/FAIL Phase IV course, and the only prerequisite is the successful completion of a Phase III Clerkship. (Unfortunately, this elective IS NOT open to visiting students)
