 WHERE WILL MY CONTINUITY CLINIC BE?

At the new combined Med-Peds Continuity Clinic located at Denver Health Medical Center. This is a practice where both Drs. Venci and Frank currently deliver care to adults and children. It is located in the Webb Center for Primary Care. 1

 HOW OFTEN WILL I ROTATE BETWEEN MEDICINE AND PEDIATRICS?

Residents rotate between Medicine and Pediatrics every three (3) months.2

 WHAT DATES ARE INTERVIEWS HELD?

 WHAT LETTERS ARE REQUIRED AND ACCEPTABLE?

We require a Chairman's letter from the Department of Medicine OR the Department of Pediatrics. A Dean's letter or MSPE, and 3-4 LOR's (letters of recommendation). At least one LOR must be from an Internal Medicine faculty, at least one LOR from a Pediatric faculty and (if applicable, but certainly not required), one LOR from a Med-Peds faculty member. All letters must be from US physicians4

 DO YOU HIRE OUTSIDE OF THE NRMP MATCH?

No, applications for PGY-1 positions are only accepted through ERAS.5

 IS U.S. CLINICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR INTERNATIONAL GRADUATES?

We expect international medical graduates to have an exceptional academic record and have (at least four months) hands-on clinical experience at an accredited U.S. or Canadian healthcare center. We will not count observerships, research or shadowing as clinical experience.6

 ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL GRADUATES?

​International Medical Graduates are required to be ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) certified at the time of your application or far enough along in the application process that you will receive certification no later than February 1st of the year in which you plan to match.7

 HOW LONG CAN I BE OUT OF MEDICAL SCHOOL AND STILL APPLY FOR YOUR PROGRAM?

​Applicant must have graduated from medical school within the last five years.8
