WHERE WILL MY CONTINUITY CLINIC BE?

We are thrilled to announce the new combined Med-Peds Continuity Clinic located at Denver Health Medical Center. This is a practice where both Drs. Venci and Brown currently deliver care to adults and children. It is located in the Webb Center for Primary Care. Alternatively, we may have alternating clinic weeks at the University of Colorado Anschutz Outpatient Clinic and the Children's Hospital of Colorado.
 
 

HOW OFTEN WILL I ROTATE BETWEEN MEDICINE AND PEDIATRICS?

We plan on having our residents rotate between specialties every three (3) months.
 
 

WHAT DATES ARE INTERVIEWS HELD?

Interviews are over for this recruitment season.

 

IS U.S. CLINICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR INTERNATIONAL GRADUATES?

We require a minimum of one month clinical experience in a U.S. healthcare system. We DO NOT count observerships or research as clinical experience.
 
 

HOW LONG CAN I BE OUT OF MEDICAL SCHOOL AND STILL APPLY FOR YOUR PROGRAM?

While most of our residents do not take time off between medical school and residency, we will evaluate applications of all individuals who have graduated within the past 5 years.
 
 

WHAT LETTERS ARE REQUIRED AND ACCEPTABLE?

We require a Dean's Letter and 3-4 letters of recommendation (at least one letter must be from the Chair of Internal Medicine and/or Chair of Pediatrics).  Two, of the three letters of Recommendation must be from U.S. physicians. 
 
 

DO YOU HIRE OUTSIDE OF THE NRMP MATCH?

No, applications for PGY-1 positions are only accepted via ERAS.
 
 

ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL GRADS?

International Medical Graduates (IMG's) are required to be ECFMG certified at the time of your application or far enough along in the application process that you will receive certification no later than February 1, 2014.
