Dr. Cara Wilson appointed DOM Vice Chair for Faculty Development
Dr. Cara Wilson, Professor of Medicine, Immunology and Microbiology in the Division, has been appointed Vice Chair for Faculty Advancement in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Wilson will lead programs focused on career development, diversity, gender equity, and leadership for our faculty. She will seek to develop departmental programs that foster career development and leadership, and leverage the established institutional programs that focus on these domains of expertise. Dr. Wilson received her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, completed her residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and was trained in Infectious Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her laboratory focuses on human immune response to HIV-1 infection and the factors that drive HIV-1 pathogenesis, particularly in the gut mucosa.
