University of Colorado Denver General Hematology Program Research

Jeffrey Parrish

Professional Research Assistant

Jeffrey joined the lab in August 2013 after graduating from the University of Arizona with a degree in biochemistry and began work on purifying a cancer-fighting compound from the plant Aristolochia indica. Much of his time is spent isolating this compound and evaluating its effectiveness in the treatment of various cancer cell lines. In addition, he has also begun working on analyzing the effects of iron in the cell cycle, particularly how iron depletion effects protein concentration.
