My clinical interests focus on liver diseases including viral hepatitis, immune-mediated liver diseases, liver masses and management of patients with cirrhosis. I also enjoy performing outpatient endoscopies with various indications. My research interests concentrate on how to improve liver-related health care delivery in a county hospital system.

Why you decided to stay in or relocate to Colorado

I stayed in Colorado because of the great faculty I had the pleasure to work with during my fellowship in the GI division at University of Colorado Denver. The multitude of outdoor activities and great weather available year round made the decision simple!

Something personnel you might like to share about yourself

My personal interests include skiing, mountain biking, and I am a Formula 1 fanatic.

Esophageal Diseases, Esophageal Motility, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease/Acid-Peptic Disorders, Medical Education

Why you decided to stay in or relocate to Colorado

We decided to move to Colorado to challenge ourselves professionally in a new environment. I am excited about the opportunity to help in the development of a swallowing center of CU. We were also drawn to Colorado by the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

Something personnel you might like to share about yourself

My wife is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist who will be starting at Colorado Children's in August. Our son, will be 2 on August 3rd. We have moved to Colorado from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and are excited to explore Denver, Colorado and the Rocky Mountains.

Something personnel you might like to share about yourself

I believe that my career change at my stage is highly unusual, from private practice to academics; my hope is that I could play a unique role in the division based on experience in the community; ”real world”, and contribute to quality teaching of trainees and bring practical topics for clinical research to better patient care.
