Personal Mission Statement:

"I have a strong interest in assessing attainment of clinical competency and clinical care outcomes as they relate to educational initiatives.  I conduct research on teaching and medical education. I want to know what kinds of teaching methods and curricula result in better, more informed doctors, and how this impacts the care that patients receive. I am also very interested in how we assess competence in physicians and physicians in training have a special interest in the area of communication as a competence."
