The Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Anschutz Medical Campus seeks  a full time position as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PAto join the Hospital Medicine Group (HMG).

The NP/PA will work in collaboration with the Department of Medicine/Hospitalist faculty and will provide clinical care to the following types of patients: observation status patients, inpatients, floor and step down level patients requiring medicine consultative services, and outpatients.

Additionally, you will be expected to spend several days each month tending to non-clinical duties such as research, teaching and administrative obligations. Administrative responsibilities will include input into hospital systems, development of critical pathways, committee work and projects aimed at improving the hospitalist group mission. It is assumed you will spend the bulk of this non-clinical time working towards the publication of manuscripts. You will also be expected to attend the group’s meetings and educational events. Other duties may be assigned as need arises.

The NP/PA will be expected to mentor, coach and precept HMG NP/PA fellows

Candidates must be:
  • an ACNP or PA and 
  • nationally certified.  
  • Acute care training or experience in adult inpatient medicine is required
