Peanut allergy is the most common cause of food related anaphylaxis. The laboratory focuses on translational research examining mechanisms underlying the severity and persistence of peanut allergy.  Our primary research interests are 1) the study of functional IgE-allergen interactions as they pertain to food allergies. Specifically, characterization of conformational IgE epitopes of major peanut allergens Ara h 2 and Ara h 6 and 2) investigating the mechanisms underlying the severity of peanut allergy.
