ABOUT ME:
I have been working in higher education since 1998 when I started working at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, which is really not near the Pacific at all. I started working in IT support and program development and grew my department into the highest quality support unit on campus. After four years my department was moved into the office of the CIO and merged with campus wide IT support. Having just finished my MBA I was recruited by the VP of Student Affairs to unravel and improve the finance and budgeting systems in the Housing and Dining services. In May of 2006 I accepted the position of Director of Budget and Planning for the Division of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Denver. DU has a different structure than CU so the Division was more like the level of a School here. I worked directly for the Dean and was responsible for all of the finances, HR, budgeting and planning for over 23 departments and programs. I began working for the Department of Family Medicine at the end of March, 2010.
I also have a very satisfying creative outlet as a Photographer doing both nature photography and environmental portraits. Examples of my work can be found at www.jonathanradin.com.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES:
I am very excited to begin my pursuit of my ACMPE Board Certification and hope to have that finished in less than 2 years.
