Welcome to the University of Colorado’s Department of Family Medicine.

Coming to work at the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado feels like I am coming full circle – I was born at the old “Colorado General” (University Hospital) on 9th Avenue! I am a Colorado native and am proud to be part of this team.

I have seventeen years of human resources experience in the quasi-governmental, non-profit and retail arenas. I specialize in translating ideas into action and helping people clarify their issues and discover their own solutions. I work collaboratively with senior leaders and management business partners to design and implement effective HR strategies and practices.

Most recently, I served 400 employees at 18 Air Care Colorado locations throughout Denver and the Northern Front Range, where I was responsible for employee relations, organizational development, staffing and talent management, safety and strategic HR.

I spent 7 years in retail management before “escaping” to the Dumb Friends League where I served as the Human Resources Manager from 1997 - 2009.  At the League, I was instrumental in developing and promoting the People Care customer service training program, presenting the class and train-the-trainer sessions across the country. My focus at the League was on strategic HR issues, including organizational development, budget administration and employee relations.
