The Department of Orthopaedics offers one fellowship position in Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery Research. This is a one- to two-year post-graduate experience, beginning August 1.
The primary goal of this fellowship is to provide the fellow with direct experience in all phases of the research process, including literature review, project design, study set-up and implementation, analysis of data, interpretation of results and preparation of presentations and publications.
The fellow will take an active role in animal research and IDE studies. Research activity will be done jointly at the University of Colorado Denver (UCD), Children’s Hospital Colorado, and Denver Health Medical Center. The fellow may also collaborate with the Colorado School of Mines on certain projects.
The fellow will have full access to the world-class research facilities available at UCD, one of the country’s most modern and up-to-date research campuses located in the beautiful Denver Metro area.
The fellow is provided malpractice insurance, medical insurance (for self and dependents), and 21 days of vacation.
The fellow is sponsored at two continuing education/academic courses.
Applicants must have completed an accredited residency program.
