Join us for the annual Office-Based Sports Medicine for the Primary Care Provider conference on May 12th, 2012, at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora.
This program provides primary care and family medicine physicians and allied health professionals with a multi-disciplinary approach to the management of acute and chronic activity-related injuries. The target audience includes private practice, community, and academic practice Primary Care Physicians - Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Residents, Medical Students, and Allied Health Professionals.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Order and interpret common radiographs in musculoskeletal medicine
- Evaluate treatment and effectiveness of physical therapy for common musculoskeletal complaints
- Perform proper application of casting and splinting materials and understand appropriateness of use of these modalities
- Understand and evaluate common tools for assessing concussion injuries and return to play guidelines
- Update current information on exercise during pregnancy

Registration fees include continental breakfast, lunch, refreshments and syllabus

The 2012 event takes place on the campus of the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora. As part of the Anschutz Medical Campus serving the Denver metro and surrounding areas, the day's events are held in the Research 1 North building (Hansel Phelps Auditorium West).

The full conference tuition is refundable, less a $20 processing fee, if your cancellation is received, in writing (email to tina.garcia@ucdenver.edu acceptable), by April 28th. The $20 processing fee is nonrefundable regardless of the reason for cancellation. Refunds will not be granted after this time or for non-attendance.
The University of Colorado School of Medicine Department of Orthopaedics reserves the right to cancel this conference in the event of an unforeseen circumstance, or if the minimum acceptable registration is not attained. In the event of cancellation, the University of Colorado School of Medicine Department of Orthopaedics is obligated to refund the registration fee only.
