The CU Pediatric Orthopedics Department, in affiliation with Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHC), is internationally recognized for its orthopedic surgeons who provide medical and surgical services otherwise unavailable to children regionally.
The program features innovations that reduce the length of stay or help eliminate inpatient hospitalization, such as minimally invasive surgery techniques and outpatient services, and have been effective in dramatically reducing care costs for many patients.
CHC Ortho provides comprehensive musculoskeletal care for patients 0-21 years of age in a multi-disciplinary setting. We are the only full-service pediatric orthopedic group in the region, from Utah to Missouri and from the Canadian border to Texas. The CU pediatric orthopedic group was founded in the 1970's by Robert Eilert, MD and joined the faculty full time in 1998. We provide care to all children who need orthopedic treatment.
