Giving back and improving lives

The doctors at the University of Colorado Department of Orthopedics take pride in contributing toward continuing education programs, assisting charitable organizations, and changing the lives of the less fortunate.

Volunteer spotlight

Dr. Frank Chang is the medical director of the Hospital Sports Program at Children's Hospital Colorado, which helps kids with physical disabilities gain confidence and freedom through sports and outdoor recreation. For more than 30 years, he's gone above and beyond to help kids both inside and outside the traditional clinical setting.

Along with his wife Nancy, Dr. Chang commits 12 Saturdays every winter to the program, coordinating about 70 children, their families, and volunteer instructors.
