Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Keyser graduated from high school in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  He attended undergraduate studies at Kalamazoo College, graduating in 1964.  He completed medical school at the University of Michigan in 1968.  Following medical school, he did a rotating internship at the University of Washington, Harborview Hospital.

After two-and-a-half years of service in the U.S. Navy as a flight surgeon, he moved to Colorado where he completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.  There, Dr. Keyser was head fellow and trained in ophthalmic pathology from 1975 to 1976.  Dr. Keyser joined Colorado Ophthalmology Associates the following year.  He excels in refractive surgery, cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, and retinal laser surgery. He has been board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1976 and is a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where he teaches residents on a weekly basis.

Dr. Keyser is a member and past president of the Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, a fellow in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the Denver Medical Society.
Dr. Keyser has been performing cataract refractive surgery since 1974 and started performing PRK and LASIK surgery in 1996, when the procedures were first approved in the United States.  He was one of the founding physicians of the Clear Vision Laser Centers in the Denver metropolitan area.

Outside of his rewarding profession, Dr. Keyser enjoys golf, travel, and biking.
