The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Colorado, continues the tradition of excellence outlined in our Mission Statement.

 Dr. Winston is Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.  He was Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery for many years.  He is board certified by both the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and the American Board of Pediatric Neurosurgery.  Dr. Winston has particular interest and experience with craniosynostosis, seizure disorders, brain tumors, hydrocephalus and craniofacial abnormalities.  Dr. Winston was one of the developers of linac radiosurgery and remains interested in the latest developments. Dr. Winston mentors and promotes the resident research programs.
