Tracey Anderson, MSN, CNRN, FNP-BC, ACNP-BC
Tracey Anderson is a nurse practitioner working in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit with Robert Neumann, MD, PhD. She has worked in the department since 2005 specializing in stroke and Neurocritical care. She is a frequent lecturer at programs across the state of Colorado, as well as nationally and internationally. Her publications include work on stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage as well as procedural guidelines for advanced practice nurses. Her specialty interests include Stroke and Subarachnoid Hemorrhage. She is the director of the NP Neurocritical Care Fellowship Program and Director of Neurocritical Care Clinical Program Development.
She was named 2010 NP of the Year at the National Conference for Nurse Practitioners and received her award in May in Chicago.

Patti Batchelder, MSN, PNP-BC
Patti Batchelder is a pediatric nurse practitioner working with Drs. Handler, Wilkinson & Winston. She has been with the department for 9 years, but has been a nurse practitioner in pediatric neurosurgery for 17. She has been at The Children’s Hospital for 14 years. Her clinical interests are pediatric brain tumors and hydrocephalus. She is the co-developer of www.myhin.org, an on-line personal health record for individuals with hydrocephalus.

Amanda Brill, MSN, ACNP
Amanda Brill is a nurse practitioner in the Department of Neurosurgery working with Robert Breeze M.D. and Steven Ojemann M.D. She has been in the department for seven years specializing in Neurovascular Surgery, Functional Neurosurgery, Skull base surgery, and Gamma Knife Radiosurgery. She collaborates with the surgeons to optimize the clinical care of the patients.

Christy Casper, ANP, CNRN
Christy Casper is a nurse practitioner who joined the University of Colorado in November of 2010. Christy has a long history of caring for patients with neurologic diseases and has also been active in the development and certification of primary stroke centers across the country. She has been a featured speaker at multiple educational conferences. Christy enjoys working with all of the neurosurgical staff at the University and helping to coordinate the care of neurosurgical patients during their hospital stay.

Sonemala “Som” Phommatha is a physician assistant who has been in the field of neurosurgery for about four years. She practiced in Neuro-Trauma Critical Care in Houston, Texas for about two years, and then did two years of neurosurgery in Denver, Colorado focusing on both brain and spine disorders. She joined the department beginning of 2011 and specializes in complex spine disorders. She works closely with Dr. Michael Finn to optimize patient care.
