Clinically I enjoy all aspects of pediatric neurosurgery. I have had a long interest in neuroendoscopy for tumors, cysts, and hydrocephalus, brachial plexus injuries, and spinal trauma. I have over 16 years of practice experience in pediatric neurosurgery after completing my fellowship and continue to marvel at the resilience of children and their families when faced with serious diseases. I consider it a privilege to help these children and families in their time of need.
The recent affiliation of University Colorado Health and Children's Hospital Colorado with Memorial Hospital created the ideal environment to join ranks with neurosurgeons within the Department of Neurosurgery who I have known and respected for years. I am excited to be part of something bigger, and am looking forward to advancing pediatric neurosurgical care along the Front Range, throughout the state, and beyond.
I completed training in Pediatric Neurosurgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and was faculty there for 9 years before relocating to Colorado Springs. I am married to Dr. Brenda Grabb, pediatric radiologist and have two sons, Declan (student-Vanderbilt University) and Gavin (student-Lewis Palmer High School). My interests include flyfishing, backpacking, gardening & photography.
