Department of Neurosurgery Residency Program
The mission of University of Colorado School of Medicine 's Neurosurgery Residency Program is to train extraordinary neurosurgeons who will be at the forefront of the field, as skillful surgeons,
compassionate caregivers, and academic leaders advancing neurosurgery.. The program encompasses a total of seven years with internship, and includes training not only in neurosurgery, but also critical care, interventional neuro-radiology, functional neurosurgery, spinal neurosurgery and minimally invasive neurosurgery, and one fully dedicated fully-protected year of neuroscience research. A dedicated staff of neurosurgeons from University Hospital, the Veterans Administration Hospital, Denver Health, and the Denver Children's Hospital, lead the training in clinical neurosurgery. The faculty's expertise covers a wide range of subspecialties in neurosurgery, and provides excellent training in all aspects of the field, including:
