Toxicology Education

Fellows and Residents

A vital part of the section’s mission is the education of students, residents, fellows, and other health care providers in providing care to poisoned patients. Medical toxicology fellows from the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center see patients and attend rounds at the Anschutz Medical Campus under the supervision of core faculty from our section. We provide medical education for fellows in concert with the larger group of toxicology faculty affiliated with the RMPDC Medical Toxicology Fellowship.

As faculty in the University of Colorado School of Medicine, we provide didactic and bedside teaching for medical students and medical residents in understanding how poisons can affect the body and how to evaluate and treat a patient suspected of poisoning.
