Biosketch
Kelly Bookman is specialty trained in Emergency Medicine and has focused interests in Biomedical Ethics and Wilderness Medicine. She has been the Chair of the Ethics committee at The Medical Center of Aurora and The University of Colorado Hospital. She also serves on the national American College of Emergency Physicians Ethics Committee. She has published numerous articles on subjects such as end of life care in the Emergency Department and Emergency Department overcrowding and its ethical implications. Dr. Bookman also co-directs both introductory and advanced Wilderness Medicine courses for medical students as well as mentoring the Wilderness Medicine track for the Denver Health Emergency Medicine residents.
