Biosketch
Jean Abbott is a board certified Emergency Medicine physician who has been a faculty member at the University of Colorado since the inception of an Emergency Medicine division in 1985. She is currently “retired” but still does clinical shifts, teaches in the Denver Health Emergency Medicine Residency on ethics and professionalism, co-chairs the Hospital Ethics Committee and manages the Ethics Consult service. She serves on the SAEM Ethics Committee, and teaches and writes about ethics and professionalism issues in emergency medicine and other graduate medical education specialties through the Center for Bioethics and Humanities at the CU Health Sciences campus.
