Carolynn Lyle worked as a Ski patroller, Fireman, and Paramedic prior to graduating from the University of Washington MEDEX PA program in 2000. Since graduating she has worked as an emergency medicine PA in both urban and rural settings, including 3 years in Family Practice. She joined the University of Colorado APP Emergency medicine group in 2009.  She is a guest lecturer for the CU PA program Emergency Medicine section.  Her academic interest include HIV prevention, early detection of acute HIV and Health Services Research. Carolynn completed her MPH with a concentration in Community and Behavioral Health in 2013.
