Mohs Micrographic and Dermatology Surgery
The Department of Dermatology includes a Cutaneous Oncology Center where Dermatologic Surgery and the Division of Medical Oncology are integrated to optimize management of patients with melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers.
Mohs micrographic surgery is one of the most effective techniques for treating basal cell carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas, the two most common types of skin cancer. The Department of Dermatology hosts two fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons, Dr. Mariah Brown and Dr. Misha Miller, who have advanced expertise in Mohs surgery and recontruction and are recognized as national leaders in the field.
In addition to Mohs surgery and other surgical treatments of skin cancer, our surgeons also provide surgical management of benign skin growths and scars.
