Conference Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Participants will be able to identify the unique pathophysiologic sequelae of adult patients with CHD, and develop a safe and appropriate anesthetic plan for these patients.
  • Participants will improve their ability to combine regional anesthesia techniques with pain medications in order to improve treatment of patient pain.
  • Participants will be able to implement changes in healthcare delivery systems in order to create more efficient, safer, cost-effective perioperative care.
  • Participants will be able to assess the difficult airway and improve their skills at securing the airway.
  • Participants will be able to evaluate the obese patient presenting for ambulatory surgery.
