Conference Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Participants will be able to identify the latest understanding of the pathophysiology patients suffering traumatic brain injury, and develop a safe and appropriate anesthetic plan for these patients.
  • Participants will improve their ability to combine regional anesthesia techniques with pain medications in order to improve treatment of patient pain.
  • Participants will be able to assess the difficult airway and improve their skills at securing the airway.
  • Participants will be able to evaluate and safely care for the obese patient presenting for major thoracic and abdominal surgery.
  • Participants will be able to implement changes in practice in order to address and find solutions to the current opioid epidemic in the United States.
