The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Colorado Denver is committed to the execution of high-quality clinical and translational research in the areas of perioperative medicine and critical care. This website is the departmental portal for faculty, staff, and trainees interested in pursuing clinical and translational projects.
Investigators in the early stages of project planning are encouraged to schedule a meeting with Dr. Paul Wischmeyer and Jeanette Leeser. Such a meeting will allow the investigator to share their research rationale and identify areas of need including mentorship, funding, nursing resources, statistics support, sample collection and storage, and Colorado Multiple Institutional Review Board (COMIRB) approval. Dr. Wischmeyer will be available during his stated office hours or by appointment.
Our group of highly skilled clinical research nurses offer support at all levels of trial planning and execution. Investigators with questions/concerns about ongoing projects are invited to send them an email to schedule an appointment.
Our Department statistician, Dr. Zung Vu Tran, is available by phone, email, or office appointment for statistical planning and analysis support.
