The SRSR was established in 1993 with funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI). During its nearly 20 year history, the SRSR has collaborated in more than 50 peer-reviewed studies, most of which have been funded by the National Institutes of Health.
More than 150,000 computer-assisted telephone interviews have been completed by the SRSR. The SRSR is currently a designated shared resource of the University of Colorado Cancer Center, with peer-reviewed core funding provided be the NCI to facilitate cancer-related survey research.
