Breast Cancer Biology
University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus
Must have completed one year of college
Number of Openings: 1-2
With the focus on the unique biological features of ErbB3 receptor in ErbB2-mediated breast cancer formation and progression, we hope to identify novel therapeutic agents for breast cancer patients with ErbB2-overexpressing tumors.
The student will gain basic knowledge of ErbB receptor signaling transduction pathways, learn cell culture techniques, cell proliferation assays, western blot analysis of protein expression and activation, evaluate therapeutic agents-induced apoptosis with ELISA, and explore the synergistic inhibitory effects of drug combinations on breast cancer cells.
