Join us for a day of information and conversation about the latest treatments for common cancer types, cancer survivorship information and more, brought to you by the experts at the University of Colorado Cancer Center.

Colorado Cancer Day will be held, November 2, 2013

It starts at 9 a.m. with break-out sessions by cancer type, followed by a general session. The event ends at 1 p.m.

Who should attend?

Current patients and those who have just finished treatment and their family members.

Where is the Colorado Cancer Day held?

Colorado Cancer Day is held on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colo.

What types of cancer are covered?

  • Breast Cancer - topics include understanding diagnosis and progression, biology of breast cancer + support in therapy decision making and being a breast cancer survivor.
  • Pancreatic Cancer - topics include pancreatic cancer surgical, radiation and clinical trial treatment options.
  • Lung Cancer - topics include screening + surgical management, survivorship and personalized treatments.
  • Prostate Cancer - topics include screening + early management, update on diagnosis and new local therapies and emerging medical therapies.
  • General Sessions - There will be one patient general session covering coping with cancer, nutrition and survivorship. This year there will also be a caregiver general session covering symptom management, resources and coping.
  • Colorado Cancer Day Schedule

    • 9 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. | Individual Cancer Sessions (Pick One: Breast, Lung, Pancreatic or Prostate Cancer)
    • 10:45 a.m. - 1 p.m. | General Session (Includes a break for lunch)
                • Patient: Nutrition, Survivorship and Coping with Diagnosis and Beyond
                • Caregiver: Issues Faced by Caregivers, Resources and Practical Tips

    What does it cost?

    Colorado Cancer Day is a free community education event. Lunch is included.

    Registration is required and will open in the Fall.
