Our 2018 gathering of more than 800 supporters of women’s health was nothing short of inspiring!
We were honored to hear from former First Lady Laura Bush, who is
fueling a focus on women’s health research from the world stage. Our video captured the compelling story of local community advocate Sherry
Delaney whose improved health knowledge led to life-saving medical
care. We also shared news of seven new researchers joining the Center
for Women’s Health Research, bringing us up to nearly 70 MD and PhD
scientists studying women’s health and sex differences across the
These inspirations led you to raise over $450,000 in support of the
Center and our commitment to grow knowledge around women’s health and
sex differences and improve the health of women and men, boys and girls. Thank you!
We are making tremendous progress. Our research is leading to new
treatments for heart failure in women, is helping to prevent obesity and
treat diabetes in youth, and much more. Still, given the long-standing
gap in women’s health and sex difference research, there remains much to

About the Annual Luncheon
The Center for Women’s Health Research Annual Community Luncheon is our signature education and outreach event. Held each fall, this spectacular event brings hundreds of CWHR community supporters together. The event features prominent keynote speakers that are expert researchers and/or educators in women's health and study of sex differences. The event is chaired by a CWHR Advisory Board Member and is made possible by individual, corporate, and foundation sponsors whose generous support funds the programs and research at the Center.
