The CU Connection

The Center for Women's Health Research is an interdisciplinary Center within the University of Colorado. It is based in the School of Medicine's Department of Medicine.

The University of Colorado's Health Sciences Center is the largest academic medical center in the Rocky Mountain Region and one of the nation's premier health sciences institutions. Its School of Medicine is the largest most comprehensive school in the region and has an outstanding research reputation with a critical mass of nationally and internationally renowned scientists and physician-scientists working at the leading edge of medical discovery.

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and its affiliated University of Colorado Hospital are transitioning to the new 217-acre Anschutz Medical Campus, where a 21st century academic health center is being built from the ground up-the only project of its kind in the nation.

The Center for Women's Health Research is drawing on these resources as it undertakes research in women's health and transfers the newly acquired knowledge to the professional and lay communities, so women today-and their daughters and granddaughters who follow-can make better informed healthcare decisions and lead longer, healthier, more productive lives.
