Morphology and Phenotyping Core

Request Services


To request services, please fill out the requisition form and either email it to Histology@ucdenver.edu or deliver it to the core facility located at RC1-North, 8th floor, room P18-8403A.  Please place all hand-delivered requisition forms in the tray labeled "Histology Request Inbox".
 

Where to leave your samples:

 

Samples that do not need refrigeration                                                                              

Please leave these samples on the orange histology desk in room P18-8403A next to the Histology Request Inbox.

 

Samples that need to be refrigerated                                                                                    

Please leave these samples in the small black refrigerator under the orange histology bench in room P18-8403A.

 

Samples that need to be kept frozen                                                                                      

Please leave these samples in the white -20 freezer labeled, "FROZENS" in room P18-8213.

 
Please make sure all samples are clearly labeled with initals, date, and sample ID

 

Turnaround time:

 

  • Standard orders will be completed within 14 business days.
  • Rush orders will be completed within 3 business days.  If a rush order is required, please write and highlight the word "RUSH" in the special instructions/comments section of the requisition form.  We will contact you via email when your slides are ready for pickup.

 

Important notes:

 

Please ensure that submitted requests are legible and clearly outline all relevant information (e.g. tissue orientation).  If you are unsure which information to include, please contact us to schedule a consultation prior to submission.  We will contact you if questions arise, however, this may result in a delay in completion of your request.

 

We always strive to deliver the highest-quality samples to our customers.  To this end, please make sure that your samples are properly fixed and submitted.  If you have any concerns regarding the quality of slides you have received from the Core, please contact us within 2 weeks after receiving your samples (Histology@ucdenver.edu).  We will be happy to address your concerns and ensure you obtain the best quality histology possible.
