Laboratory Research

Evaluating Blood for New Factor Treatments and Global Assays

The UCHTC laboratory, which is managed by Lisa Villalobos-Menuey, analyzes and stores thousands of blood samples at a time, applying developmental global assays for diagnosing bleeding and clotting disorders.  The research conducted in the UCHTC lab contributes data to hundreds of national and international studies, and is instrumental in understanding the ways that bleeding and clotting disorders can be treated.

In addition to the UCHTC laboratory team, the UCHTC partners with the Di Paola Laboratory, managed by Dr. Jorge Di Paola, one of our physicians.  The Di Paola Laboratory conducts studies on new factor treatments and diagnostic assays for bleeding and clotting disorders.
