Who will I see?

A multidisciplinary team approach is used to provide you access to multiple resources that assist you in the management of your bleeding disorder. You/your child and family can anticipate having a comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation that includes:
 
• Hematologist or Nurse Practitioner provider
• Nursing
• Social Work
• Physical Therapy
• Pharmacist
• Lab work
 
Other opportunities that you can choose include participation in research affecting the current and future care of persons living with a bleeding disorder and consulting with an insurance specialist.
 

How long will I be there?

Your appointment will take approximately 4 hours. 
 
A 45 minute physical therapy evaluation for bleeding related issues is included in the visit.  If you have extensive physical therapy or social work needs, we request that you schedule a follow-up appointment for the afternoon (between 2 and 4 pm) or on a separate day. 
 

What should I bring?

•  photo ID
•  current insurance information
•  immunization records
•  infusion/bleeding history log
•  a pair of shorts
