Academic Leadership Council

The primary goal of the Academic Leadership Council at the Center for Bioethics and Humanities (CBH) is to integrate, strengthen, synchronize, and expand CBH offerings across the Anschutz Medical Campus, the university and into the community. This may include, but is not limited to, enhancing existing curricula to better capitalize on synergies across schools; expanding capacity and support for clinical case consultation activities; growing the CBH research enterprise, including by supporting research with ethical implications across the campus; strengthening community engagement activities; and creating and implementing new advanced training programs in bioethics and humanities.

To attain the desired level of integration, impact and synergy of existing and new CBH programs across the schools represented at AMC and to achieve national leadership and recognition for the outstanding work in bioethics and health humanities in Colorado, the Deans of all 6 AMC schools/colleges (Dental Medicine, Graduate School, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health) seek ongoing, reliable and dynamic input into CBH activities, priorities and strategic planning.  To accomplish this, the Deans are working with the CBH Director to create a CBH Academic Leadership Council, comprising one faculty member in good standing appointed at 0.2 FTE from each school to serve as a representative and member of the Council.
