Online Sample Submission


First, your lab and principal investigator and speedtype must be added to our database. If you need to do this, please contact BDCBioResourcesCore​ by email or by phone at 303-724-6825.

  1. In your browser type the following URL: http://140.226.23.24/ (You may want to bookmark this site.)
  2. If you are a new user Click on "Create Login Account for dnaLIMS”, enter all of your information, select your PI from the drop down list and hit submit.

Using the BDC LIMS website to Submit New DNA Sequencing Requests

  1. Enter your lab password and your username, then click the “Submit” button. Passwords and usernames are sensitive to case and punctuation.
  2. Click on the “Enter Individual DNA Sequencing Request” link in the upper left hand panel.
  3. Enter the number of samples to be submitted (each primer/sample is a separate entry) and service requested, then click “Submit”
  4. Fill out the top portion with speed type, drop location and any special comments
  5. Enter all information for your samples and primers.
  6. Click “Submit” when you are finished. An order summary page will appear.
  7. Print out two copies of this page, one for your records and one to submit with your samples.

Using the BDC LIMS website to Submit Identity Testing, Mycoplasma Testing, and Fragment Analysis Samples

  1. Enter your lab password and your username, and then click the “Submit” button. Passwords and usernames are sensitive to case and punctuation.
  2. Click on the “Enter Individual Fragment Analysis Request” link in the upper left hand panel.
  3. Enter the number of samples to be submitted and then click “Submit”.
  4. Fill out the top portion with speed type, drop-off location and any special comments.
  5. For ‘Analysis Type’, leave the default analysis as “MS”.
  6. Enter all sample name information with no spaces or special characters (dash and underscore are accepted).
  7. For the ‘Marker’ field, please enter the service type requested. (BasicID, BasicPlusID, or MycoplasmaTesting)
  8. Each sample and service request is a separate entry. For example, if sample A needs identity testing AND mycoplasma testing; please enter SampleA-ID for one entry and SampleA-Mycoplasma for another entry.
  9. Click “Submit” when you are finished. An order summary page will appear.
  10. Print out two copies of this page, one for your records and one to submit with your samples.
