I joined the Adult Diabetes Division in 2003 after a long professional career in private practice in Denver. At the Barbara Davis Center I am very active in direct patient care as well as participate in clinical research for evaluation of new drugs and devices to treat type 1 diabetes. I have held leadership positions at several Denver area hospitals including President, Medical Staff for Provenant Mercy Hospital and Chairman, Multispecialty Quality Management Committee for Presbyterian/St. Lukes Medical Center. In addition, I have enjoyed contributing to community activities including the role of medical consultant to the Public Television program, “Senior Showcase” (1985-1990) and Team Physician (Internist) to the Denver Broncos Football Club (1977-1994).
