Erik Wallace, MD, FACP, Associate Dean for CU School of Medicine Colorado Springs Branch. Dr. Wallace attended medical school at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO, and spent his residency at Primary Care Internal Medicine, University of Alabama Hospital, Birmingham, AL. Dr. Wallace joined the teaching staff of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor, was later promoted to Associate Professor, and by 2012, was appointed Vice-Chair for Education in the Department of Internal Medicine. During his tenure, he also served as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program, and later became the Internal Medicine Clerkship Director.In addition to his teaching and administrative responsibilities, he saw patients in his primary care practice and supervised medical residents in clinic and at two hospitals in Tulsa.

​Chad R. Stickrath, MD, FACP, is the Assistant Dean for the Colorado Springs Branch at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He joined the Colorado Springs Branch leadership team in November 2014. He has a passion for medicine as both a clinician and an educator. Prior to joining the Colorado Springs Branch, Dr. Stickrath was a hospitalist at the Denver VA Medical Center where he served as a clinician-educator, the Site Director for Medical Student Education, and a key clinical faculty member for the residency program. Dr. Stickrath is a member of the Governor’s council of the Colorado chapter of the American College of Physicians, the Education Committee of the Society of General Internal Medicine, and a member of the University of Colorado Academy of Medical Educators. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Ohio and completed his residency training and chief residency year at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. His current research efforts aim to improve the appropriateness of testing and to optimize clinical medical education and bedside teaching. H has enjoyed dozens of opportunities to provide faculty development aimed at effective clinical teaching and bedside teaching locally and around the country. Dr. Stickrath is also the Assistant Director of the Teacher Scholars Program (TSP), which teaches School of Medicine faculty how to develop, evaluate, and improve health education curriculum and conduct education research. In Colorado Springs, Dr. Stickrath practices as a hospitalist for Kaiser Permanente at UC Health Memorial Hospital. In his role as the Assistant Dean for Education, he developed and directs the Colorado Springs Mentored Integrated Curriculum, which is an innovative way for third-year medical students to learn the core clinical competencies in a patient-centered manner. In addition, Dr. Stickrath thoroughly enjoys teaching Colorado Springs Branch medical students on the Internal Medicine wards and mentoring more junior clinician-educators.
