How to help

The Alumni Office of the School of Medicine offers multiple opportunities for helping the school and the community.

Alumni Programs

Student Assistance
HOST - Help Our Students Travel program - has helped CU's fourth-year medical students find a friendly home while traveling for their residency interviews. The program matches students with UCD medical alumni who live in or near the cities where their  interviews are taking place. The alumni provide students with a free place to stay for one or more nights.

Medical Alumni Association Stethoscope Fund
Give a stethoscope to an incoming first-year medical student at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Teaching Opportunities

Camp Wapiyapi
The annual week-long camp is a no-cost respite for children with cancer and their families. Developed by CU medical students, the Camp Wapiyapi offers a safe and nurturing environment to allow the children and their siblings the natural freedoms of childhood. The camp is staffed by volunteer physicians and nurses.
