Upon notification of acceptance into the program, applicants are
required to submit a nonrefundable tuition deposit of $1,500 to reserve a position in the class. This deposit will be applied toward
tuition, fees or any other student obligation during the first
semester of attendance. The deposit is due upon receipt of the
student's admissions offer.
All accepted students are
required to complete a background investigation conducted by the CU School of Dental Medicine prior to matriculation.
Residency Classification for Tuition Purposes
CU School of Dental Medicine accepts Colorado residents and non-residents. Students
are initially classified as accountable (non-resident) or sponsored (resident)
for tuition purposes during the admissions process. The requirements for
establishing residency are defined by Colorado law. For more information
regarding residency classification, including specific qualifications for
veterans, please visit the Office of the Registrar's website.
The School of Dental Medicine is a member of the Western
Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) program which helps students
in Western states enroll in selected out-of-state professional programs. Residents
of Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota and Wyoming are
considered for acceptance under this program. For additional information and to
apply for certification (deadline is October 15th of the year preceding
admission), please visit the WICHE website. If a student does not receive WICHE
funding, the student will be classified as sponsored (non-resident).
