Accreditation |
The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine is an ADA
CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental
Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality
providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or
endorse individual courses or instructors nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. Concerns or complaints about a CE provider may be directed to the provider or to the Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition at ADA.org/CERP.
Continuing education hours earned by AGD members from programs offered through ADA CERP-approved program providers are accepted by the AGD for credit toward the AGD Fellowship/Mastership (FAGD/MAGD) awards program. The current term of acceptance extends from May 2016 through June 2019. Provider ID# 214226.
Course Check-In | Course check-in starts 30 minutes prior to
the listed start time. Building and room locations will be specified in each
registrant’s course confirmation.
Meals | A continental breakfast will be provided for all courses except
evening courses. Lunch is provided for all full-day courses unless noted on the
course description. If you have dietary restrictions, please call or email us
at least one week prior to the course date.
Refund Policy |
Each course will have a portion of the tuition payment is
a NON-REFUNDABLE administrative fee unless the course is completely
enrolled when the registration is received or the course is cancelled by
the School of Dental Medicine. Refund of the remainder of tuition will be
allowed only if refund request is received in writing TWO WEEKS PRIOR to
course offering. The Office of Continuing Dental Education reserves the
right to cancel a course if the need arises. A full refund will be made
automatically if the course is not held. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE FOR
NON-ATTENDANCE. Registrants are responsible for their own travel, lodging
arrangements, and expenses unless otherwise specified.
Enrollment and Cancellation Policy | The Office of Lifelong Learning and Continuing Dental Education reserves the right to end registration when an enrollment limit is reached and to cancel, modify, or alter content or faculty for any course if circumstances indicate the need for such a change. If the school finds it necessary to cancel a course, a full refund will be granted. All attempts to contact registrants will be made as soon as possible in the event of a course cancellation. The School of Dental Medicine will not be held responsible for any losses due to travel arrangements made by the registrant.
Inclement Weather | In the event of inclement weather (such as a snow emergency) or other extenuating circumstance, the Office of Lifelong Learning and Continuing Dental Education may be forced to cancel a course. If a course has been cancelled, we will contact participants by the email address provided. You may call or email our office on the day of the course if you are uncertain of the course's status. Whenever possible, we will post weather updates to the course page of our website.
Statement of Purpose and
Policy | The Office of Continuing Dental Education at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine is financed
entirely with revenues from its programs; it does not receive any
operating funds from the state government. Its mission is to present
courses in response to the interests of the dental community, to enforce the highest
standards of instructional quality, and to ensure a diversity in programs consistent with the University’s commitment to academic
freedom. Therefore, course sponsorship does not necessarily indicate
endorsement of course content but the University of Colorado
School of Dental Medicine.

Notice to Participants |
We reserve the right to photograph or videotape participants and registrants
during our continuing education courses. By participating in or registering for
this course, each participant/registrant agrees that we may, for no
compensation, (I) photograph or videotape such participant/registrant; and (II)
reproduce, distribute, display, or use such photographs or video images and
likeness, with our without such participant/registrant's name, by any method
for any lawful purpose, including, for example, such purposes as education
programs, publicity, illustration, recruitment, fundraising, advertising and
Web content. Such photographs or video images shall be the exclusive property
of the University of Colorado.
Accommodating People with Special Needs | If you are a person with special needs and desire special accommidations, please advise us at the time of registering for the course. Requests will be kept confidential.
SDM Faculty, Staff and Residents Free CE Policy | This policy pertains only to full-time or part-time faculty, staff, and ACTS preceptors of the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.
- Part-time faculty, staff, and ACTS preceptors are eligible to receive up to 9 free hours of lecture-only CE courses per academic year (starting July 1).
- Full-time faculty and staff are eligible to receive up to 18 free hours of lecture-only courses per academic year (starting July 1).
- Faculty and staff may attend a maximum of one (1) hands-on course per academic year for free but only if space is available in the course. Faculty may register on a first come, first served basis. If the course is full, no free faculty spots will be made available. Faculty may pay full registration fees to attend a hands-on course at any time to secure a seat.
All faculty, staff, and ACTS preceptors wishing to use their free CE credit hours to register for dental CE must contact the CE office directly. Online registrations through the website will not be accepted. Registration prior to the start of the course is REQUIRED. Please call 303-724-9541 or email
