Dr. Elizabeth Shick, DDS, MPH is originally from North Carolina and moved to Denver in 2009 to join academics at Children's Hospital Colorado. While there she was director of the Cavity-Free at Three Clinic for children 0-3 years old focusing on prevention of Early Childhood Caries. In 2013, Dr. Shick transferred to the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine to take on a more active role in the school's various programs.
Dr. Schick works in the Department of Public Health with Diane Brunson on various public health projects and is the director of a pediatric dental elective course that will be offered in the next year.
Dr. Shick's research interests focus on dental treatment of pregnant adolescents, infant oral health care and access to oral health care in Guatemala. She is currently leading the school's participation in the Center for Global Health project in El Pomal Guatemala.
