University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine Director of Public Health and Interprofessional Education Diane Brunson, RDH, MPH and other CU colleagues shared insights in oral health disparities during the recent Health Journalism 2014 conference in Denver, CO.
Brunson was joined by faculty in public health and medicine to discuss the disparities in access to oral health care and possible solutions to eliminating disparities.
The conference was hosted by the Association of Health Care Journalists which is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing public understanding of health care issues. Its mission is to improve the quality, accuracy and visibility of health care reporting, writing and editing. There are more than 1,400 members of AHCJ.
