The Global Energy Management (GEM) Program is a graduate
business and leadership degree program developed exclusively for the energy
industry. GEM’s first cohort started in
June 2009 and since then, the program has been on an upward trajectory of growth
and success. As of July 2012, GEM will have graduated five cohorts and will
start its eighth cohort of students.
Energy professionals from the United States, Canada, Africa and the
Middle East are now part of the GEM student body and prestigious list of
alumni.
GEM students are generally mid-level career professionals
with an average age of 34 years old. The program attracts a multidisciplinary
class of students from all energy sectors.
With the current state of today’s economy, resources are
limited and companies have been reducing employees’ tuition reimbursement
benefits. This has created a hardship
for some of our highly qualified students and in some cases deters them from
enrolling in the GEM Program.
What makes GEM’s success so unique is that the program is
completely self-sustaining; it has not and does not receive any state funding
to keep it running. In order for GEM to
realize continued success, it must be able to offer its growing student body
scholarship opportunities. GEM is now
accepting donations for its scholarship fund from companies, foundations,
individuals and private donors. If you
would like to make a tax deductible donation to GEM please click on the “Give
Now” button to get the process started.
