CU Denver Business School: Urban Campus

Denver Campus

The city is the classroom for our students—access to local and Fortune 500 businesses is right outside our doors. On-campus housing is available, and access to public transportation makes off-campus living a snap.

The location of a university plays a significant role in the kinds of programs and opportunities available. Because Denver’s downtown business, shopping, and entertainment district is literally steps away from the Business School Building, there are unlimited options for study, work, and play.

Located in downtown Denver

Our location means you have convenient access to businesses, organizations, and government offices, giving you hands-on, relevant learning experiences through internships and class projects. See our building.

A diverse student population

Because we are downtown and serve a non-traditional student population, you’ll find tremendous diversity in your fellow students. We have one of Colorado’s most diverse campuses with 37 percent of freshman students an ethnic minority, and international students from 125 countries.

Low student-faculty ratio

Here you are not a number; undergraduates receive the kind of personal attention found at most private universities. With a student-faculty ratio of 15:1 and an average class size of 29, professors really know our students.

Challenging academic and research programs

Academic challenge is what many of our students crave, and they find it in the diversity of opportunities we offer. Some of the unique aspects of our school include:

  • The annual Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition, which gives entrepreneurial students and alumni a chance to compete for money and in-kind awards to start their own business
  • Study abroad opportunities offer the chance to learn first-hand about global business
  • The annual Energy Moving Forward Forum connects students, alumni, faculty, and business leaders from diverse fields to discuss and learn about current issues in the energy industry
  • Class projects, independent studies, and internships offer hands-on and directly relevant learning experiences for our students, and ensure they are prepared to utilize their education beyond graduation

Student housing adjacent to campus

Campus housing options, located within walking distance of the Business School Building, are close to Denver’s extensive sporting, arts, shopping, and entertainment options.
