Connecting graduate students and recent alumni to careers


The Graduate Career Connections (GCC) office at the Business School supports graduate students, recent alumni, and employers in a variety of ways.

 For Business School graduates and recent alumni, the GCC provides coaching and a variety of online resources for more targeted, personal, and effective career search results. We also provide visibility and improved networking connections to the business community through introductions and events.

For employers, we are a central point of contact and provide access to talent for projects, internships, and full-time positions.  We also provide employers opportunities to partner with the Business School.

 

Graduate Students

The GCC office assists Business School graduate students by developing partnerships with local employers. The office facilit​ates introductions and provides personalized support throughout the job search process. 
Designed to supplement existing services available through the CU Denver Experiential Learning Center and the Career Center, GCC takes professional connections to the next level. It is a resource for connecting students with strategic employers in the business community. Due to its relationships, the GCC is aware of new-to-the-market job openings and can help connect students to internships and part-time or full-time career opportunities.

How we can help. We will

  • Review your resume to make sure that it is in-sync with your target roles and employers
  • Provide you with strategic career planning techniques with a focus on the use of social and business networking tools
  • Show you how to use a variety of CU Denver career tools to do everything from assessing your ideal job and work environment to researching industries, companies, and careers
  • Help you connect with individuals within the business community by tapping into established GCC relationships
  • Develop new and nurture existing relationships with employers to generate interesting projects, internships, and full-time positions
  • Invite you to meet and learn from influential executives and alumni as part of our Leadership Café speaker series

Business School Ambassadors Club

The BSAC is comprised of a group of the best and brightest students who represent the Business School and the University of Colorado Denver in our interactions with the business community; guests and friends of the Business School; and charitable donors.
