Vaccines and other lifesaving medicines can quickly spoil when the refrigeration cold chain fails. These simple cold chain failures negatively impact immunization efforts against vaccine preventable diseases. Nanoly is commercializing a safe and proprietary polymer shield that stabilizes and protects vaccines outside of the cold chain. By eliminating refrigeration, we can ship vaccines anywhere in the world, especially to those most in need.
SnowGate, started by CU Boulder alums, developed an outdoor intelligent locker system designed to prevent equipment theft. After one of the founders had his skis and belongings stolen at a ski resort one winter, the team decided to come up with a convenient and simple way to secure their equipment while outdoors. The locker system is a fully automated, 24/7 service that secures guests’ ski equipment and belongings through the use of RFID and mobile technology. SnowGate plans to begin with the ski market and then expand to universities to offer a more secure, convenient way to lock bikes.
